(It starts with) One thing / I don’t know why It doesn’t even matter how hard you try Keep that in mind / I designed this rhyme To explain in due time All I know
There is alot of history at Oakwoods Castle. And in the village itself. It all began over a hundred years ago with the building of the castle. Well, shortly after the castle was built at least. A civil war broke out. Pretty common thing to have happened. However, there was a good reason for a civil war, a common one. At that time Oakwoods was ruled by a very evil man. It started off like any other day.
Time is a valuable thing Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings Watch it count down to the end of the day The clock ticks life away It’s so unreal
The farmers were out in their feilds. The town workers doing whatever it is they did. However, there was a certain group of people who were doing nothing. As commonly said, the rebels. They only made it look like they were working, but in actuality, they were plotting against the King. -insert gasps from the crowd here- Still though, they weren't quite ready to act on their plans. They needed one more person.
Didn’t look out below Watch the time go right out the window Trying to hold on / but didn’t even know Wasted it all just to Watch you go I kept everything inside and even though I tried / it all fell apart What it meant to me / will eventually / be a memory / of a time when I tried so hard
Nearly a week after the revolutionaries figured that they needed one more person, someone new moved to the Kingdom of Oakwoods. A certain knight by the name of Tristan Faal. He was exactly what the rebels needed to defeat the King.
And got so far But in the end It doesn't even matter I had to fall To lose it all But in the end It doesn't even matter
It didn't take much to convince Tristan to join up with the rebels. After all, it turns out that Tristan was here to confront the King himself. Rather ironic right? Well, to the rebels it just made things easier. As you can probably figure out, the revolutionaries won, thanks to Tristan, and those who were left in the Kingdom agreed to make Tristan their new King.
One thing / I don’t know why It doesn’t even matter how hard you try Keep that in mind / I designed this rhyme To remind myself how I tried so hard
Sadly, the tables turned on Tristan about a year after he became the King here at Oakwoods. Relatives of the previous King came for a visit. True, they weren't too closely related to the old King, but when they found out about what happened to their fourth cousin, well, it didn't go over too well at all.
In spite of the way you were mocking me Acting like I was part of your property Remembering all the times you fought with me I’m surprised it got so (far) Things aren’t the way they were before You wouldn’t even recognize me anymore Not that you knew me back then But it all comes back to me In the end You kept everything inside and even though I tried / it all fell apart What it meant to me / will eventually / be a memory / of a time when I tried so hard
Strangely enough, Tristan knew one of the woman who had come with the old King's relatives. Needless to say, she didn't recognize him at all. Can you put two and two together? Well, I'll give you a hint. They were what some people call childhood sweathearts. Once Tristan recognized her, and found that he still had feelings for this young beauty, he began to court her. Now, once again, it didn't take long before the two were wed. Did they live happily ever after? Of course not. They did live as a happy family for six years however. Enough time to have three wonder ful children. A boy and two girls. The boy had just turned five when it happened. The girls were three, and one. Tristan had been off in battle, like every good man should have been, and was killed. Thus leaving his wife and three children on their own.
And got so far But in the end It doesn’t even matter I had to fall To lose it all But in the end It doesn’t even matter
Well, the family took it as quite a shock. The boy, crown prince, was practically labeled King. Of course, he was too young to really make any decisions of what happened to the Kingdom, so his mother offered to take his place until the boy was old enough to take the thrown. When the boy turned eighteen years of age, he did just that. His mother took to ill shortly after that, and died. Now, from there on everything seemed to be going fine...for the next hundred years at least.
I've put my trust in you Pushed as far as I can go For all this There’s only one thing you should know I've put my trust in you Pushed as far as I can go For all this There’s only one thing you should know
So brings us to the year of 2030. The world as we know it had taken a turn for the worse, going back to the old ways of fancy ball gowns, and knights. Of course, this means that there is also royalty. Now, how could that possibly be a bad thing? Well, one man seems to think so. Currently he is trying to court the eldest daughter of the resident Royals, the Everwoods. Little do the King and Queen know, he is just trying to get close to the daughter, to get close to the father. Now, what Tristran did wrong is beyond the imaginations of all. However, according to Adam Reed, King Tristran did everything wrong.
I tried so hard And got so far But in the end It doesn’t even matter I had to fall To lose it all But in the end It doesn’t even matter
Will you be on the side of the Royal family and fight to save the King, or will you fight with Adam Reed and fight for the death of the King? The secret word: humble choice is yours.
Join in on the action in the Kingdom of Oakwoods.
